​Statement from the Grove City Community Library Board Regarding Second Alleged Embezzlement Case at Grove City Community Library
In February 2025, the Library Board of Directors voted unanimously to consolidate the Friends of the Library’s bank account into the Library’s accounts after concerns were raised about how the account had been set up. The account remained open until July 2025 but was considered inactive.

Any funds raised from the Friends of the Library Gift Card Raffle Extravaganza, and all other Friends-related fundraisers in 2025, were deposited directly to the library's bank account and are accounted for.

When the FOL’s account was closed, it was discovered that funds were missing. The Board immediately notified law enforcement and is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation.

Any fundraising efforts done by the Grove City Community Library and/or the Board of the GCCL are and have been separate from those done by the Friends of the Library. Funds from these fundraisers are all accounted for and monitored by the board.

The GCCL Board of Directors is keeping an accurate accounting of any funds we receive from your monthly donations, patron and business donations, and fundraisers organized by the staff and/or board.
