Support GCCL

While GCCL receives funding from public sources, we rely on the generous support from people like you. Your tax deductible gift allows GCCL to provide services to the people who turn to us each and every day for help - whether they seek a book or video, free Internet access, a program specially designed for a child or them self, a place to gather with friends, or a connection with their community.

There are many ways to support GCCL:

Advocate for Pennsylvania Libraries:  Join Pennsylvania Citizens for Better Libraries, “an organization of advocates that speaks for libraries throughout Pennsylvania. Membership is open to anyone who wants to see strong and well-funded libraries, and the best possible library service for all of Pennsylvania's citizens.”

Honor and Memorial Books: For as little $25.00, you can place a book or audio-video item in the library with an honor or memorial plate.  Stop by the library and fill out an Honor/Memorial donation card or complete and submit this form.

Monetary Donation: Your monetary donation goes directly to support collection development, programming and everyday operations.  Please give today!  There are three easy ways to donate: 1) Click here to donate using a credit card, debit card or PayPal; 2) You can also mail a check directly to the library– for our address, click here; 3) Stop in and make a donation in person– we would love to see you!

Pet Memorial: The Claws & Paws Pet Memorial is for any pet who has passed away.  These memorial donations will be used to purchase items for our collection (both fiction and nonfiction) about animals based on either patron or the library’s recommendation.  The library understands that many cherish their pets as part of the family and are eager to see these loved ones commemorated in such a special way.  Stop by the library and fill out an Pet Memorial donation card or complete and submit this form.

Supply Donations: Help the library by donating supplies to help support the library in its efforts to provide adult and children’s programing, current technology, and new print and audio-video material.  

Used Book/Audio-Video Donations: Annually, in September, we hold a used book sale at Grove City Memorial Park.  The Friends of the Library also maintains a bookshelf bookshop with gently used books available for purchase all year long.  

To support the bookshelf bookshop and the used book sale, the library accepts, in good condition (please no moldy, water damaged, torn or heavily worn/soiled items):

• fiction books, nonfiction books published after the year 2000, children's books, DVDs, audio books on CD, and music CDs (no missing discs, please).  

We DO NOT accept:

• nonfiction published before the year 2000, travel books more than 10 years old, textbooks, Bibles, magazines, dictionaries, encyclopedias, cassette tapes, VHS tapes, games, puzzles or coloring books.

Generally, you may donate up to five boxes or bags per day during regular library hours; however, please call ahead–if our storage unit is full we may not be able to take your donation until a later date.  PLEASE DO NOT leave donations at the door or in our book drop.  All donations must be brought into the library.  If you need help carrying in your donations, please let a staff member know.

Your Time:  GCCL relies heavily on volunteers to help the library with day to day operations.  If you are 14 and older and would like to give your time to GCCL, please contact the library.
